Core classes are combined into 45-75 minute time blocks and meet on alternating days to enhance learning, with Fridays reserved for independent study projects and one-on-one time with Master Teachers (see sample schedule below).

Block scheduling is when 2 or more classes are combined to provide more useful instructional minutes (45-75) and interconnections between core classes. Math and Science are blocked together; Literacy and Language Arts are blocked, and History, Geography and Societies are blocked. Students enjoy the combined learning atmosphere and the opportunity to use target skills in multiple classes. Less time is wasted in changing classes and doing administrative tasks, allowing more time for interactive, sustaining, and hands-on learning opportunities.

A/B Scheduling is when core academic classes meet on alternating days. This type of schedule helps students focus more intently on content material and in-depth learning projects, while reducing overall stress (less classes daily = less stress). Math/Science meet on M/W and History, Geography and Societies meets on T/Th. Literacy/Language Arts (including Foreign Language) and PE meet daily (M-F).
